Alright so okay

Change of plans happened this morning. After a mess at German clubs, me being surrounded by seven highly-hair-gelled German men all grabbing at me to dance with them (Michael Jackson came on a few times, I couldn't help but whoop and holler), my favorite jacket was stolen, returned, and then I found Sierra passed out on a sidewalk a mile from where we left. What is a normal night in Austin is now turning out to be a normal night in Germany.

Some things went down, and I woke up 4 hours later on her mother's couch covered in other peoples' sweat, tears dried on my face and my notebook opened to my last journal entry reiterating the details of our trip to Amsterdam. After cursing group travel a mere few hours before, I awoke ready and willing to travel solo. And as it still stands, I still have a loathing for the general population.

But we had work to do today. The biggest flea market I had ever seen was being set up across the street, and I had 100 euro in my wallet ready to be spent on the frivolous and the useless. I don't really want to admit how much I spent today (an economic strategy I have adopted over the years) and soon had the hat I wanted and 3 more pairs of sunglasses.

I leave for The Netherlands in 6 hours, and I still need to recharge for what promises to be one of the randomest things I have ever done alone.

But this needed to happen. And this was going to happen. And right now all I need is to catch up on dreams, and sort out my train tickets.
