After spending the day in my van listening to Devandra Banhart and attempting to ward off an ominous bout of sadness (my cat is depressed and I ran out of crackers, I have a lot to be sad about), I found myself on the same side of town as I always am, trying to sneak free samples out of Central Market and selling stuff from the back of my van at Buffalo Exchange. With my trade, I bought a cherry Adidas watch, the same exact one that I fell in love with at the Bloomingdales in Chicago just a week ago. Ah love. Some things do get better.

Other things I have been into lately: Lance Link Secret Chimp, a rare gem that has somehow fallen through the cracks of 70s tv memory. What I am amazed with how much time was spent in teaching chimps how to act and remember lines for that show, and if there is anything that gives me hope for television, it is that things like this exist somewhere in the universe. Available at Vulcan Video until I rent it!

Although I began this book a while ago, I am in the right mood to finally finish the Tom Robbins book, Skinny Legs and All. Still Life with Woodpecker changed the way I thought about romance, and if this book can come anywhere close to that, it was well-worth the seven dollars.
