Less gross: Never sit on a curb when wearing a dress, ladies. Not only is it unflattering, but it exposes a bit too much to the homeless guy across the street when he looks your way.
Nicer: Don't wait until the hour before to confirm your attendance to a party you were invited to last week. Saturday is prime party time, but when you knew that far in advance, make the decision and stick with it. You can always leave early (unless it is a dinner party.)
